To ones own simple life three things are considered an essential in everyday living, these are: Loyalty, Duty and Valour.
We think that courageous and valiant people can only be distinguished in times of heroism or times of war. This is clearly not the case as I will explain.
Such people described above exercise loyalty in peaceful times by being loyal to their family and employer, as I wrote in my essay on keeping death in ones mind a person will take an order or responsibility as if it’s the last time and will treat it with the utmost importance. Unlike the undisciplined fool who always make it up in their minds saying that they’ve got tomorrow to do it, such mentality is considered cowardly in accord with the way of the warrior.
Duty is taken up everyday through the study of literature and keeps in good health. He/She will avoid personnel luxuries and will disdain oneself from wasting a penny. However, he/she is not stingy and will spend money freely when necessary. Anywhere forbidden he/she will not go even if he/she wants to go or wants to do.
Valour is a brave and courageous person; valour is truly worth a lifetime spent to achieve such a state of mind. He/She will indeed fight for ones honour and the honour of his friends, families and employers. He/She will find places where needed to exercise the loyalty and duty of oneself. He/She has a tolerant and patient mind and is humble and respective to everything else. All of these reflect the mentality of the courageous. As for the cowardly, they merely feign respect for employers and parents without really caring for them. They do things they shouldn’t and go places which are forbidden by their parents and employer. They spend money without a thought on useless things and are stingy when it comes to necessities; they overeat and drink too much not caring for their health. This is indeed the mentality of the lowest order of cowardly knights therefore I can certainly say that the courageous, brave and the valiant can certainly be distinguished in everyday life.
